Fractured @ Sunday Live Jamm Session Part I. More great memories.

So it was Sunday Live Jamm Session: Part I gig. The flyers was all over local myspace bands. We are not listed in the flyer because we're kinda got fitted in after the flyer got released. If I knew earlier I'd tell you guys all about it but heck I didn't. So sorry about that. A few of my buddies are pissed off because I can't give the correct information about it. Like I've said, it's not totally my fault.

Got a brand new bass strings so I'm all ok. I can't remember the brand of the strings but you can be sure it's not Kyser's. Bah we can't have all the things we wanted in this world. Anyway, it feels great to be holding my Ibanez again. Angah on the other hand, was totally pissed because his Ibanez was still with his buddy, undergoing some minor repairs. So he was left with no choice other than to borrow someone's Ibanez instead. The guys and me, we all had a night stay at Angah's house fer it'll be easier fer us to find the venue of the gig (as we still didn't know the name and the place of the gig. Imagine that.).

So the plan was, pick up Angah's friend the next morning so he can guide us to the whereabout of the gig. Good plan. But the only problem was the "morning" thingy. If we're all staying in the same place, you can be sure that it'll be a looooooong night. Chatting, laughing, talking nonsense and stuff. I slept around 6 in the morning and we need to get up around 9, morning que fer bath. Yeah right, sure. It was 9 something and Angah was the only one who had taken a bath. All the others? Well, rubbing their eyes (me included), changing sleeping position etc.

Domestic issues aside, we picked Angah's friends, the vocal fer Furion Escalada and his buddy. Nice fella. Honestly I never heard them before but I know from other people that they are great. When they perform, they totally own the place. Tight performance. Great showmanship. Simply awesome.

We were supposed to be the 1st band to perform there, not the number we like. We arrived around 12 in the afternoon or something. Seeing the "Holiday Villa Hotel" sign made me recall the flyer of "Sunday Live Jamm Session" somewhere in myspace. "Damn" I thought. "This is the gig we're gonna play in.". Anyway it was too late to spread the news to anyone. The only person I called was Bobi because he was eager to come and see us. But then he never came. Brat. Lucky fer us the soundcheck haven't started yet because we're about an hour late fer the session. The place was in Lavida Lounge in the hotel.

Inside the pub, one by one of us was invited to check the sound equipments. Lucky us. At first Fahmi was told to test the drums, then me fer the bass, then Udin and Angah fer the guitars. We even played our newest song Leaving Deads Behind (very very new, even the lyrics is not completed yet.. hehe) fer the soundcheck. Well because the songs is pretty much still fresh, I forgotten a few licks here and there. Still it was fun.

After the soundcheck, we all went to the nearest mamak joint fer lunch. Joined by Furion Escalada's army, the session took longer than expected and when we came back to the pub, the show has already begun. Lucky fer us the organiser didn't kick us out and we're slotted fer 3rd performance instead. Not intentionally but somehow it's great news.

It's great to be performing live again. There was moshpit activities when we play our 1st number, The Bodybag and it's a great feeling. After our 2nd song War of The Lords, Angah's string snapped (again? yeah it's a curse) and we were left with another 2 more songs instead of 6 fer total because replacing Angah's string ate our stage time. Our track list that day:

1. The Bodybag (demo)
2. War of The Lords (demo)
3. Let The World Burns (new song)
4. Once Stabbed (demo)

All the other bands that day was great. In fact I guess this was the gig that have the most talented bands (well, excluding us of course. :P). I really enjoyed being there till the end of the show. Sorry fer not joining the moshpit because my neck aches like mad. It's been too long I guess. But then I can't stand the excitement when Et Cetera covered Dimension Zero - Silent Night Fever. What a bloody show. Simply excellent. I can tell you all about the other bands too but I'll bagged me eyes writing all about it all day. To keep it simple. They all simply tears the place down to dust.

We all had a great day. It was a great experience to be amongst the talented people. I'll remember this fer life. Later.
