It's been long aye. Since I last post anything here. Well, after so many things happened, here I am again. I'm using my AMD64 pc now, not exactly according to the spec I wanted but it's working. Still got a few more things to buy before I'm satisfied.
How am I nowadays? I'm ok. Still working in Seremban and I signed up fer a part-time job recently. A 5-days-a-month job and the pay is good. Well, I'm getting married soon ain't I?
Speaking about getting married, how is my preparation so far? It's ok. Been buying some stuff here and there. Planning the 'kenduri' and stuff. Saving money.
I'm nearly done with writing the lyrics fer our new song, Leaving Deads Behind. My vocal track will only be recorded next month. As usual, financial problem. *sigh*. I know we're supposed to get it done this month but then, we have to delay it fer another month. Hopefully next month will be ok. The good part is, I can still finish writing the lyrics. Heh.
Fractured was supposed to play in a gig somewhere in Bangkok last Monday. But because Fahmi didn't get a leave, the offer was turned down. The sad thing was, I only knew this thing on the said monday. Seems like I'm still the last person on earth to know. Drats. I wish I knew the Bangkok gig's detail but I didn't so I can't write any info about it.
We *might* be playing in a Johor gig soon. Maybe "Konsert D'Selatan" but I need to confirm that. As always, maybe I'll be the last to know. Later.
Oh. Before I forget. Happy birthday isman!. Enjoying it.

Fractured recorded 5 songs, EP(?) will be out soon!
Good news, Fractured's recording went smoothly. We recorded 5 songs including 3 new songs. This is the list of songs we managed to record:
Let The World Burns (new song)
Death Zone (new song)
The Bodybag
Leaving Deads Behind (new song)
War of The Lords
We originally wanted to record all 8 songs but because of time and financial constraint, we only get to choose 5. So we left out 3 more songs fer the time being until we're ready to record them. The other 3 songs is:
Slaving Nations (new song)
Life Inside The Hole
Once Stabbed
So, we think that it's better to release this recorded stuff as EP first. And record the other 3 songs then do a full length album. Hopefully we'll do the full length soon as the stuff is quite old now already (excluding Slaving Nations, the newest song).
We went to Bakri Music Workshop fer the recording. Started recording on 8th February fer drums and 9th fer bass and both guitars. It took us 17hours to complete the recording. Wait, what about the vocal? So here come the bad news.
I caught a bit of a flu on 9th, but managed to do the bass track. After that, I was suffering. I slept in the studio most of the time after my session is over. I was supposed to do vocal tracks too but because of my condition at that time, we got no choice but to delay it.
We have to do vocal tracks, then mixing and mastering before we're ready to release this materials. We're hoping that by this March, our EP will be out. Some suggested to hold the stuff and wait fer the other 3 songs to be recorded then release a full length instead. It's still in discussion. Anyway, something will be released soon. Whatever the result, I'll update you guys on it. Do check Fractured's MySpace at:
http://www.myspace.com/fracturedmy
Too bad Fahmi's camcorder is broken or I'll upload the recording session's video fer sure! No fear though, Faiz took lotsa picture of our recording session and it'll be uploaded soon when I got it. Another info, we might be playing in a gig somewhere on 24th this month. I don't have much info yet (nothing to be surprised bout) but I'll keep you guys posted about it.

My kid sister dirisik & Fractured's recording.
Ah. It's a long holiday. Well that's not the important part. Got a few important events this holiday.
Tomorrow, the family of my kid sister's boyfriend will come for 'merisik'. It's an event before engagement. Which the man's family will ask about the status of the woman. Eg: Do she have a boyfriend, is she engaged with someone else etc. And this event is very important to me too because I've taken the 'wali' status from my father as I'm the oldest male in the family now.
A mixed feeling fer sure. I'm very happy fer my kid sister. I wish her all the best in the upcoming life. At the same time, I do feel that time does fly fast. It's like yesterday me and her was playing, enjoying our time as kids together. It's like she grown up too fast. Hmm. Somehow, it feels like it's too soon fer me to let someone else take care of her. I wish I was a better brother. But like I've said, I'm very happy fer her.
I known her boyfriend fer quite some time now. In fact I known that guy the 1st time she was serious with him. As long as he can take great care of my angel, I couldn't say no. They're planning to get married this June. So it's way sooner than my own wedding.
So, tomorrow I have to be at my Mak Ngah's (auntie) house because the event will take place there around 11am. To tell you the truth, I'm a bit nervous when I think about it.
Another important event. Fractured will go to studio and do recording fer our new album. We'll be going to Bakri's studio, as I heard and we are expecting 2 days to get it done. Maybe more. I'm not sure bout mixing and stuff though, we're not a rich band anyway. Maybe we can just do a recording and later on, when we get enough money, we'll do mixing and mastering somewhere.
I haven't finish up lyrics fer 3 songs though. Bad me. I might get some ideas later on. Or I might do vocal recording fer those 3 songs after the lyrics is written. We have 8 songs altogether, including all 4 songs from our Archgates of Insanity demo. I still didn't write any addition to the old "Life Inside The Hole" lyrics. Hehe. Yeah well I'm lazy I admit.
The skin on my fingers are cracking. I got allergies to some soap / detergent. I done so many washing everyday using different type of soap I don't have a clue which has done this. It's been nearly 2 weeks and today I went to the clinic and the doctor gave me a cream. This state is annoying because it hurts everytime I'm playing bass. Yeah the fingers on my left hand suffers the most. I should have gone to the clinic sooner but I'm sort of busy this past few weeks.
Can't wait fer the recording session. Fahmi might bring his camcorder so maybe I'll post some footage or something. My TR's strings is in bad shape right now, so I need to replace it all as I'm trying to use it fer the recording. Not all guitar are suitable fer recording so I hope mine will be fine.
I'll blog any updates later.

Here's our 'Death Zone' video from YouTube.
In case you're very lazy. Here's one of Fractured's latest video. This was taken at CORE gig, Melaka on 19th February 2007.
This song is Death Zone. Our new song. It was our first time playing the song live and it was great. The sound is so-so, well I know you can't barely hear my voice.
Speaking bout the video, in the middle of the song, yeah I guess Udin's guitar went downtuned. Not sure why but heck it's pretty clear. So no it was not supposed to sound like the in the middle part hah!. Oh by the way I AM singing with a lyrics. So here it is. If you want to know it. Do check our MySpace and YouTube site.

Death Zone
Song: Fahmi / Fractured
Lyrics: Karl
Massacre blessed by zionism
Victim of legalised racism
No escape for your death is certain
Mutilated, total damnation
[Chorus]
Bodies fell onto the ground
Bullet rains on the unarmed
They'll never know who you are
Death zone; Sabra - Shatila
Take refuge in the camp of extinction
Testing ground for their men and weapon
Time stop when the shooting begin
Muted screams, just bullet to your skin
[Repeat Chorus]
Still you are their holy enemy
And your death their holy prophecy
We let our eyes blinded by corruption
Soulless pig, breed of hate, war monger
Terror force for the new world order
We let the beast take us to destruction
[Angah solo]
[Udin solo]
Brutal scene of a butchered father
Lifeless child next to gutless mother
History, buried forgotten past
Nameless grave with nameless carcass
[Repeat Chorus]

Blogging again, Fractured news, got a new job and new PC!
Hurrah! Now I got a broadband connection in my home! So, here I am again. It's been so long aye? Wonder if anyone read any of this anymore. Anyway, I guess some of you guys have your prayer answered now. No more worries, I *might* be blogging again. Sorta.
Before anything else, happy new year fer all. Uhh this year will add up in my age. Bah, I'm getting older.
Now, I'm currently back in my hometown. Seremban sweet Seremban. Been missing this place fer a long time. It's ironic, this place is where I call my home but I have nobody here anymore. Not closely related I mean. I've been wanting to be here again, to live here, settle down. I love Selangor too but I guess my heart is here in Seremban. Maybe because my band is here? Weeeell, it's a contributing factor I can't deny.
Ah, about my band. Fractured is still active. In fact we're going to studio this February to record our old and new songs and hopefully, our full length album will be ready soon after that. We're without any new stuff fer a long time. I'm getting jealous with other bands which have released their demo/album/EP. Feels like we're the only band in the world without any new release. So I really hope this year will change all that. But there's no need to push it too much because I personally don't want it to be like our Archgates of Insanity demo.
Another info our my band. Do check out our MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/fracturedmy because I've uploaded a few of our music videos. There's a few LIVE session vids and there's also some rehearsal vids in it. Strange but I guess MySpace has fixed the music player or something because NOW I can play the songs I've uploaded there. Great news.
I've also uploaded a few Fractured videos in YouTube. Just do a search on "Fractured Malaysia" and you'll probably will see our videos. Enjoy it. I'm thinking of uploading more as I've got many Fractured videos in my disk now. But I need to get the video of our latest show in PJ from Fahmi because I'm missing that video. Including our 1st gig's video.
Something about my job. If it matters. Well. Anyway. It's been more than 2 months now. I'm working in a database company now. Doing software things and going fer DBA hopefully. The office itself is a very nice place to be although the job is giving me headache sometime. Well it's because I was more to the hardware part and now I'm more into the software world, so relearning is a must. That's another great thing about my company, they're actually supportive when it comes to learning.
Ah, another thing. I'm currently buying parts fer my new PC. I've been wanting to have an AMD64 so I'm building a socket 939 system now. I know AM2 is the standard now but I just love the number '939'. Turns me on. Currently I only have a motherboard and a 3500+ single core processor. I'm still thinkin about the next thing to buy now, can't have it all because my budget is limited fer this month. Looking forward to this.
Later.

Fractured @ Sunday Live Jamm Session Part I. More great memories.
So it was Sunday Live Jamm Session: Part I gig. The flyers was all over local myspace bands. We are not listed in the flyer because we're kinda got fitted in after the flyer got released. If I knew earlier I'd tell you guys all about it but heck I didn't. So sorry about that. A few of my buddies are pissed off because I can't give the correct information about it. Like I've said, it's not totally my fault.
Got a brand new bass strings so I'm all ok. I can't remember the brand of the strings but you can be sure it's not Kyser's. Bah we can't have all the things we wanted in this world. Anyway, it feels great to be holding my Ibanez again. Angah on the other hand, was totally pissed because his Ibanez was still with his buddy, undergoing some minor repairs. So he was left with no choice other than to borrow someone's Ibanez instead. The guys and me, we all had a night stay at Angah's house fer it'll be easier fer us to find the venue of the gig (as we still didn't know the name and the place of the gig. Imagine that.).
So the plan was, pick up Angah's friend the next morning so he can guide us to the whereabout of the gig. Good plan. But the only problem was the "morning" thingy. If we're all staying in the same place, you can be sure that it'll be a looooooong night. Chatting, laughing, talking nonsense and stuff. I slept around 6 in the morning and we need to get up around 9, morning que fer bath. Yeah right, sure. It was 9 something and Angah was the only one who had taken a bath. All the others? Well, rubbing their eyes (me included), changing sleeping position etc.
Domestic issues aside, we picked Angah's friends, the vocal fer Furion Escalada and his buddy. Nice fella. Honestly I never heard them before but I know from other people that they are great. When they perform, they totally own the place. Tight performance. Great showmanship. Simply awesome.
We were supposed to be the 1st band to perform there, not the number we like. We arrived around 12 in the afternoon or something. Seeing the "Holiday Villa Hotel" sign made me recall the flyer of "Sunday Live Jamm Session" somewhere in myspace. "Damn" I thought. "This is the gig we're gonna play in.". Anyway it was too late to spread the news to anyone. The only person I called was Bobi because he was eager to come and see us. But then he never came. Brat. Lucky fer us the soundcheck haven't started yet because we're about an hour late fer the session. The place was in Lavida Lounge in the hotel.
Inside the pub, one by one of us was invited to check the sound equipments. Lucky us. At first Fahmi was told to test the drums, then me fer the bass, then Udin and Angah fer the guitars. We even played our newest song Leaving Deads Behind (very very new, even the lyrics is not completed yet.. hehe) fer the soundcheck. Well because the songs is pretty much still fresh, I forgotten a few licks here and there. Still it was fun.
After the soundcheck, we all went to the nearest mamak joint fer lunch. Joined by Furion Escalada's army, the session took longer than expected and when we came back to the pub, the show has already begun. Lucky fer us the organiser didn't kick us out and we're slotted fer 3rd performance instead. Not intentionally but somehow it's great news.
It's great to be performing live again. There was moshpit activities when we play our 1st number, The Bodybag and it's a great feeling. After our 2nd song War of The Lords, Angah's string snapped (again? yeah it's a curse) and we were left with another 2 more songs instead of 6 fer total because replacing Angah's string ate our stage time. Our track list that day:
1. The Bodybag (demo)
2. War of The Lords (demo)
3. Let The World Burns (new song)
4. Once Stabbed (demo)
All the other bands that day was great. In fact I guess this was the gig that have the most talented bands (well, excluding us of course. :P). I really enjoyed being there till the end of the show. Sorry fer not joining the moshpit because my neck aches like mad. It's been too long I guess. But then I can't stand the excitement when Et Cetera covered Dimension Zero - Silent Night Fever. What a bloody show. Simply excellent. I can tell you all about the other bands too but I'll bagged me eyes writing all about it all day. To keep it simple. They all simply tears the place down to dust.
We all had a great day. It was a great experience to be amongst the talented people. I'll remember this fer life. Later.
Fractured would like to salute and thank the followings:-
The organiser fer giving us a spot in the gig.
The crews fer a hell of a job.
Bannbodo
Furion Escalada
Infectious Maggots
Et Cetera
Dark Horror
Onani
Oddity
Ego Drama
Not forgetting the people who came to the show. We really appreciate the support you have given. We'll keep this memories with us fer eternity. Hope we'll see you guys again in the near future. Rot On!
* p/s: ohh, my neck, back, thigh and legs aches like mad...

I'll play at whatever-the-gig-is, see ya on 25th! *If we can find the place..*
So...
Uh, ..
I still didn't get any information regarding our next show. Yeah the upcoming 25th gig. Asked around and the guys didn't know much about it too. Hell. Is it a private gig or something? Can't imagine Angah shredding his guitar wearing zebra's underpants in front of a group of mid-age women. Haha!
Tomorrow I'll be off to Angah's house, staying there fer 1 night before going to the wherever-the-place-is gig. Sooooo, I'll be out of the net fer a few days, and that means I'll update the informations about the gig, after the whatever-the-gig-name-will-be is done. I don't know why nobody asked whoever-the-organiser-is more informations. It's too late to care now. Bah. All I care now is about my freakin new strings. Hopefully I don't have to borrow someone's bass guitar.
About that crush thingy, I think it's better to leave the feelings like that. Untouched. No further approach, no plans or anything. I just like the feeling. No need to ruin it with some serious thingy. And she doesn't need to know. Later.

Fractured Malacca and Nilai gigs!!!!!! Achtung!
Well well. Well well well well well well well well well well. Well.. Hah! Somethin just came up. Angah called today and said that Fractured have a gig spot soon. In fact, we got 2 gigs to go! The 1st one, this comin February. 19th February to be exact. The other one is on the 6th of March. I'm not quite sure which is when but the venues are: Malacca and Nilai (Negeri Sembilan).
Wowzer. Been a long while since we last perform. At last, a very long last, we finally got a chance again. Damn. Dilemma. Such a dilemma. I'm afraid I can't be too sure if I can manage playin in any of those gigs though. Why? W.O.R.K. Easy. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be around this comin month or so. Temporary re-location.
Heck I really do want to perform. Missed that a lot. I hope I can find me some time fer both gigs. Wish me luck OK? More info on this when I can confirm it. Later!
