I'm back! A few scribes here..

Aloha!

So much fer the "Off the net fer a while" huh. Yeah I've been away fer so long I didn't memorise the keys on the keyboard anymore. Ah well. On to the news.

So, what's up with my life nowadays? Not much. But some important things happened. On the 9th of September, I got engaged with a girl who used to be my office mate. It was a simple engagement ceremony with just a handful of my closest relatives came. Got pictures of the ceremony but I'll upload it somewhere later. Been thinkin of registerin an account at uhm, an image storage website or somethin, I forgot the name but heck it'll be later.

There's so much I wanted to write here, but almost all of it became history I rather left alone. Some I can't recall right now so I wont bother with it. I'll post somethin about it when I have the recollections of it. Might be interestin, might as well be garbage. Heh. Anyway, I guess this is the important announcement fer now. Yeah, I'm no longer available. Not that it matters to anyone.

About Fractured, we've been idle fer quite a long time, it's just past the fasting month and we didn't go fer any practice session during ramadhan. Someone told me about doin a recording. Hmmm. I'm not so sure meself if the plan is still on or not.

Enough fer now. Later!

I moved out and probably be off the net fer some time.

Yeah Yeah. I know it's been quite some time since I last wrote anythin reasonable in here. Heck I'm currently off the net fer a period of time undecided. I moved out from the last place, now I'm stayin at a buddy's place, though still in Puchong. I wanted to write bout it sooner but I guess I got caught up with many other things along the way.

1st, I never managed to forget 'her', the person I wrote a few posts back. So, I made the move and we've been together fer almost 2 months now. We know each others since I 1st moved here in Puchong, she was in the same office as I was. Was? Yeah that's one of the reason I moved out. Not because of her mind you.

To make it short, the office is no more. So, now I'm practically jobless, again. Bah. No worries though because I have a few plans. Kinda. Not to mention distractions comin from a few things. So I'm practically busy now. Not with work but with sortin things out with my new (but not surprisin) turn in life. I'd love to write more about it but right now, I can't. Might as well be patient and wait fer the mega post about this ok?

One of my plans, if it went smoothly, will keep me busy and my pocket filled. And I might as well move to another place, probably somewhere back in my hometown as this place I'm currently stayin at is just a temporary place as I'm sortin some things, important things out. What's this 'things'? Like I've said, I'd love to tell you but right now is not the suitable time. The internet line I'm usin now is not helpin either.

So, just be patient. I might be off the net fer quite some time. I don't know. But I do know I'll write again. Heck, I might be writin back tomorrow so don't expect me to keep quiet that long hehe. Anyway, wait out fer more of my post aye. Later.

Fractured @ Sunday Live Jamm Session Part I. More great memories.

So it was Sunday Live Jamm Session: Part I gig. The flyers was all over local myspace bands. We are not listed in the flyer because we're kinda got fitted in after the flyer got released. If I knew earlier I'd tell you guys all about it but heck I didn't. So sorry about that. A few of my buddies are pissed off because I can't give the correct information about it. Like I've said, it's not totally my fault.

Got a brand new bass strings so I'm all ok. I can't remember the brand of the strings but you can be sure it's not Kyser's. Bah we can't have all the things we wanted in this world. Anyway, it feels great to be holding my Ibanez again. Angah on the other hand, was totally pissed because his Ibanez was still with his buddy, undergoing some minor repairs. So he was left with no choice other than to borrow someone's Ibanez instead. The guys and me, we all had a night stay at Angah's house fer it'll be easier fer us to find the venue of the gig (as we still didn't know the name and the place of the gig. Imagine that.).

So the plan was, pick up Angah's friend the next morning so he can guide us to the whereabout of the gig. Good plan. But the only problem was the "morning" thingy. If we're all staying in the same place, you can be sure that it'll be a looooooong night. Chatting, laughing, talking nonsense and stuff. I slept around 6 in the morning and we need to get up around 9, morning que fer bath. Yeah right, sure. It was 9 something and Angah was the only one who had taken a bath. All the others? Well, rubbing their eyes (me included), changing sleeping position etc.

Domestic issues aside, we picked Angah's friends, the vocal fer Furion Escalada and his buddy. Nice fella. Honestly I never heard them before but I know from other people that they are great. When they perform, they totally own the place. Tight performance. Great showmanship. Simply awesome.

We were supposed to be the 1st band to perform there, not the number we like. We arrived around 12 in the afternoon or something. Seeing the "Holiday Villa Hotel" sign made me recall the flyer of "Sunday Live Jamm Session" somewhere in myspace. "Damn" I thought. "This is the gig we're gonna play in.". Anyway it was too late to spread the news to anyone. The only person I called was Bobi because he was eager to come and see us. But then he never came. Brat. Lucky fer us the soundcheck haven't started yet because we're about an hour late fer the session. The place was in Lavida Lounge in the hotel.

Inside the pub, one by one of us was invited to check the sound equipments. Lucky us. At first Fahmi was told to test the drums, then me fer the bass, then Udin and Angah fer the guitars. We even played our newest song Leaving Deads Behind (very very new, even the lyrics is not completed yet.. hehe) fer the soundcheck. Well because the songs is pretty much still fresh, I forgotten a few licks here and there. Still it was fun.

After the soundcheck, we all went to the nearest mamak joint fer lunch. Joined by Furion Escalada's army, the session took longer than expected and when we came back to the pub, the show has already begun. Lucky fer us the organiser didn't kick us out and we're slotted fer 3rd performance instead. Not intentionally but somehow it's great news.

It's great to be performing live again. There was moshpit activities when we play our 1st number, The Bodybag and it's a great feeling. After our 2nd song War of The Lords, Angah's string snapped (again? yeah it's a curse) and we were left with another 2 more songs instead of 6 fer total because replacing Angah's string ate our stage time. Our track list that day:

1. The Bodybag (demo)
2. War of The Lords (demo)
3. Let The World Burns (new song)
4. Once Stabbed (demo)

All the other bands that day was great. In fact I guess this was the gig that have the most talented bands (well, excluding us of course. :P). I really enjoyed being there till the end of the show. Sorry fer not joining the moshpit because my neck aches like mad. It's been too long I guess. But then I can't stand the excitement when Et Cetera covered Dimension Zero - Silent Night Fever. What a bloody show. Simply excellent. I can tell you all about the other bands too but I'll bagged me eyes writing all about it all day. To keep it simple. They all simply tears the place down to dust.

We all had a great day. It was a great experience to be amongst the talented people. I'll remember this fer life. Later.

Fractured would like to salute and thank the followings:-
The organiser fer giving us a spot in the gig.
The crews fer a hell of a job.
Bannbodo
Furion Escalada
Infectious Maggots
Et Cetera
Dark Horror
Onani
Oddity
Ego Drama
Not forgetting the people who came to the show. We really appreciate the support you have given. We'll keep this memories with us fer eternity. Hope we'll see you guys again in the near future. Rot On!

* p/s: ohh, my neck, back, thigh and legs aches like mad...

I'll play at whatever-the-gig-is, see ya on 25th! *If we can find the place..*

So...

Uh, ..

I still didn't get any information regarding our next show. Yeah the upcoming 25th gig. Asked around and the guys didn't know much about it too. Hell. Is it a private gig or something? Can't imagine Angah shredding his guitar wearing zebra's underpants in front of a group of mid-age women. Haha!

Tomorrow I'll be off to Angah's house, staying there fer 1 night before going to the wherever-the-place-is gig. Sooooo, I'll be out of the net fer a few days, and that means I'll update the informations about the gig, after the whatever-the-gig-name-will-be is done. I don't know why nobody asked whoever-the-organiser-is more informations. It's too late to care now. Bah. All I care now is about my freakin new strings. Hopefully I don't have to borrow someone's bass guitar.

About that crush thingy, I think it's better to leave the feelings like that. Untouched. No further approach, no plans or anything. I just like the feeling. No need to ruin it with some serious thingy. And she doesn't need to know. Later.

Job & inner conflicts.

Just when I thought the smoke on this side is finally cleared. Just after my my 1st duty yesterday, new problems surface. Can't it wait fer another month or somethin? Oh yeah I'm back to writin with no trailin 'G', I guess the spell-checker took a day off or somethin.

I'm still a few weeks more to gettin my 1st paycheque, but the 'test-of-life' couldn't wait that long. I've already been buggered with some things I 'should' be payin with my not-yet-earned salary. Damn. Then the question of maybe bein relocated because the instability of my housemates, probably discussin a new rent terms because of things that's unavoidable. No, my job is ok, my boss is cool, but this things somewhat related to the surroundin of my work so it has successfully makin me rethink the path I'm currently takin.

I'm not gonna put in details the things that been botherin me, today. Yeah today. Twisted as it is. Funny how I was confident about this new career path I'm takin, not gonna depend on my relative to make a livin and choosin what I want to do instead of how much I'll make on doin somethin fer supportin me. It didn't wait fer another 10 or 20 blog post from me to test me out. As soon as I made a statement and willin to be firm about it, the 'test' has to try me out hastily, to shake me from my stance. From my own foundation.

I agree. Money talks. Damn it I hate it but I admit it. With my cousin, no housin problem, transportation problem and I'll be forced to gain weight. Sure the pay is good too. Bloody 'el my plan was nearly perfect yesterday, took me more than a week to make this decision. But this mornin, the situation changed. My ship took a turn elsewhere and I'm just a mere sailorman. No say at the course of the ship, can but will not be taken seriously.

Bah. Entangled in self-conflicts, inflicted upon the way things 'should' be from the majority point of view. From their 'nature'. Now, goin on with my plan will financially leave me with nothin much to spare. Workin my arse's off, though lovin it, but I'll be throwin the money elsewhere. Sure I can try to cope with that, if I'm strong with my decision. But I'm no longer 18. *yeah I do know I'm old now, thank you..*.

And now, as per this case; ego aside, personal demand means nothin. Principal stand got no values. Tryin to stand out by bein different sometime means suicide. Helpin out the 'circle' directly is good, but when the 'circle' can't do much to help you out, maybe it's best to be outside of the 'circle' and helpin them from there instead. Yeah people say loyalty can make a miserable life out of you, but that's what who I am.

I'll discuss this with my boss soon. Try to figure out some sort of solution, a way. Maybe an exit. Not puttin a hope on anythin. This time, I'll let this piece of plank drift me anywhere the wave wants me to. Maybe another ship will pick me up, maybe I'll still be driftin, dehydrated and hungered or hopefully, as I open my eyes, I'll found meself on an island. Later.

Not workin with my cousin.

Ah. So I silently turn down the job offer from me cousin. I'm now workin with my friend, guy within our 'circle'. Financially, my cousin pays better money, technologically *is this word even exist?*, my new job is better. Still within my field of interest. I do what I'm interested in, money comes second. I might be naively fool to say it like that but heck, I'm not bothered with that. Nor it's some sort of brag.

What am I doing now? Mostly CCTV stuff. I'm dyin fer our next project involving fiber optic cables. Been waiting fer years to do fiber optic cabling. So it'll be some sort of amazing experience fer me then. Wish me luck on that. Later.

Not that important but heck I wrote it didn't I?

Uhm. I wanted to say somethin. Kinda important. Important to me I mean. Well, I'm pretty sure it's nobody else's problem. But heck. I just wanted to say.. Hmm.. *shy*.. I mean.. You see.. .. *s.h.y*.. It's somethin like this.. .. uhh.. *shy*..

Ok, ok. I just wanted to say. Arrhhh! How to put it. I, I'm in this kind of situation, you see. I guess I'm in that situation (it's 'this' or 'that'?.. weeeeell..). I'm not sure but I think I am. Uh might as well spill it out. It's kind of difficult to express. Twisted or somethin. Never imagine I'll be in the situation. Not at this time. With her! Urh.

Ok I think, I guess, I'm kind of have a some sort of thing, like somethin like a crush, on someone I never thought I will.

*blush*

p/s: that's why I've been listenin to HIM - Wicked Game lately...

IslamicTube: YouTube with Islam contents.

I got an invitation email. Not sure when it was sent. Don't know who sent it. What it is about? That someone wants me to see IslamicTube.

Fer that somebody, I thank you. IslamicTube is just like YouTube. The difference is that IslamicTube allows people to share videos about, well, Islam. See it fer yourself. Currently they have many videos about Islam culture, people, debates (Ahmed Deedat anyone?). I guess this site is new. Well I might be wrong. Here's the address:

http://islamictube.net

So that's the thing I felt like sharing with you guys. Later.

New update on the gigs.. Not sure you'll like to read it..

Ok. 1st of all, I'd like to apology. There's been a few changes on this gig thingy *taking cover*...

...

...

...

Enough of that. Fahmi called and told me that the proposed 31st March gig has been canceled. Not our fault in any way. Seems like the organiser is having a problem about location. :/. Can't say I'm glad to hear about it too. It was supposed to be a big one and.. canceled. Shucks.

Another info. No I don't have the flyer fer our next show, neither do Fahmi. But the date will be on the 25th March...

*taking cover*... *again..*

...

...

Ok ok I'm sorry! Not my fault! Sheesh. So now I have to update the myspace. Later.

Update: Ops. My bad. There was no 18th March gig. The Subang's show has always been 25th March. Don't ask me, I don't know where I got the idea meself. *taking cover*....

Gig infos? What infos? Urgh.. and other mumblings.

What's the date huh? March 13th or something. Got a few more days before the Subang gig. My TR Series is still naked. Without strings. Collecting dust. And still no information(s) on the upcoming shows?! ARGHH! Everytime, EVERYTIME we have show(s) we're listed in, the situation will always be like this. Everyone is keeping quiet. Bah! At least a text msg or something. Then when it's a few hours before the show, everybody, EVERYBODY will be chaotic. "What's the playlist?", "Did you get the yet? We're gonna play it.", "Did you by any chance find my wristband?". Urgh. I still didn't get any flyer. If somehow this show got cancelled or something, all my band's friends in myspace will get pissed off. Ok we only have 3 friends in there so it's a bit too much. Haha.

Still haven't call up my cousin to confirm on whether to accept his job offer or not. The favor is more on his side though. But because I'm currently busy playing with my new server, I guess I still have a reason to be here fer another few more days.

Here, it's raining almost everyday. Weird because people I know seems to be whining about the lack of downpour in their area. My cousin, the guys at my previous home, some other people. It rained here a while ago. When it's not raining here, it's pretty hot.

Finished half the lyrics of our new song. Wanted to finish the song quick but I'm not multitasked enough. Heh. Got meself busy with my server like I've said. Have a few things I wanted to change fer that new song but I haven't had the time to discuss it with the boys yet. Oh, btw, the new song is call "Leaving Deads Behind". Expect that to be played live in another few more gigs. If we got more gig offers.

Speaking about music, Epiphone Les Paul & Dean Explorer ML basses been haunting me lately. I find that Les Paul basses are sexy. Found some good deals on 'em in Ebay, along with my all time favorite Ibanez Destroyer. Anyway I can just window shop fer now. Still, just seeing the pictures makes me feel sunny inside. Like candy to kids. I'm seeking fer someone who'll give me any of the 3 basses I've mentioned fer whatever reason or none. Hah! Tough luck.

I'm planning to buy a new pair of Chuck Taylor's shoe. Found a shop in OneUtama and can't call the discounts there a bargain so I just skipped it. Maybe I should look in Seremban. Later.

Freaky horoscope..

I just came back from my cousin's house. Been there fer a few days. So there I was, looking at this place I call home and I saw a 'Remaja' mag. Flipping through it, and I saw the horoscope section. Bah. Turn out to be the only page I stop flipping at. The heck. Just read it through.

And then. BAM!. It says (lousy translations up ahead):

Think this year as a new page. Look forward, don't look back anymore. The offer from your nearest relatives must be accepted as it's connected to your future. There'll be many chances after 12th, so don't lose it.

Financial: Getting thinner because your plan(s) got screwed in the middle.
Career: Don't run away from problems.
Health: Lung's problem.
Love: You are really lonely and need someone to be by your side.
Men: Careful on making promises.

Bloody 'el. Sometime this things amuses me. Some other time, it's freaky. Not saying I believe this sorta things but, hell, it's plain impressive. Just as I've been doing a bit of a deep thinking about a job offer from my cousin. Darn. Someone been scooping on my life or what? Ah, Isman, you're an aries too right? And I kinda know this misses you by a gazillon marks. So, I think this things do get to the right person sometime. Not all the time. Heck.

How bout the others? Hah!. Like I said, it's impressive.. Later.

Fractured @ CORE, Melaka. A great experience.

I wish somebody is wondering about Fractured's show in Melaka last Monday. Why? Because I'm gonna tell all about it right here now. Hah! So how was it? In a simple word, it's somewhat unbelievable. And to give more details, I'll need to write from the beginning.

I went to Seremban with Angah (the 2nd guitarist) on Sunday's evening. My Ibanez TR, was placed at Angah's house back in Seremban. I brought it back when we went to Seremban a few days earlier fer our practice session. We changed from trying to get a bus to getting a commuter instead because heck it was crowded like mad in KL. Well it was sort of a blessing because I remembered the last trip I had in a bus a few days earlier. Me and Angah got no other seat but the last row in the bus. It was hell. I can't barely move my legs because the seat in front of us is cramping our legs. My feet's got fried all the way to Seremban because we're kind of just above the bus's engine. Pffft!. So getting a commuter is a much better choice that day. Air-conditioned all the way!. Got no seat though until we're pretty much just a station left before arriving to Seremban. So it was about 1 hour of standing all the way to Seremban.

We arrived at Seremban that night, got together with a few of our friends and went out getting something to eat. Revising our track list fer the Melaka's gig, doing some adjustments and talking craps, laughing bla bla. It's good to be back. Seems that now I'm the only one left who's not yet memorised our newest song, not yet to be named because heck I didn't make any lyrics fer it yet. Hell it's a new song. Working on that now.

Our plan was to get moving around 9.00am that Monday. As the flyer's stated, the gig will start around 12 in the afternoon. Guess what happened? Yeah we all woke up late, around 10 something. Blame the late snack session. Fahmi (our drummer) woke me up, as I was staying at his house that night. Shower, packing the stuff and we went off to pick Udin (our 1st guitarist). Angah, Khalid, Faiz (our band manager), Ayam (yes it's his nick...) and 1 of our friends will meet us after the Seremban toll in another car. That was the other plan. Got screwed too. Me, Fahmi and Udin ended up being the ones who done all the waiting.

Traffic was smooth all the way to Melaka. There's virtually no traffic jam whatsoever as it's a holiday. We arrive around 11 in the morning or less. Can't remember fer sure. That's only the area of the gig's place, not the venue itself. Why? Because we got lost. It's not our fault. Blame the confusing road naming convention fer that. It was Jalan Melaka Raya 8 fer this lane, and the next one will be Jalan Melaka Raya 23! What the hell? The venue's address is on Jalan Melaka Raya 10, we found the Jalan Melaka Raya 8, we found Jalan Melaka Raya 9, we found Jalan Melaka Raya 11 but we circled around the Melaka Raya fer countless time and it feels like Jalan Melaka Raya 10 didn't exist! Me, Fahmi and Udin got seperated from the other guys, we all got hungry and the most sensible thing to do was getting something to eat. So we did just that. A few minutes later, the other guys caught us red handed munching our ways to the rice.

After lunch, we circled around the Melaka Raya's area again and finally got to the spot. There was no road sign fer that specific road. Bloody hell. I know it'll be easier to call the organiser but guess what? We can't reach him. When we arrived, the place; Vinyl Dance Culture is still close. Damn. Are we ripped? Still can't reach the organiser but there's a few people, most probably waiting to see the gig showed up so we sat near the vicinity, talking craps and hope that this is not an illusion.

A moment later, a chinese guy, dreadlocked, appears and starts to open the pub. Ah, it's either he's preparing fer the gig or he's opening his pub. So Khalid, Ayam and Faiz asked the guy about the gig and it's confirmed, there will be a gig that evening! Yeah! But wait.. What the hell the flyer state that the gig will start around 12 in the afternoon? I still didn't get it even today. There's even a joke that we, Fractured got a special flyer because the organiser wanted us to come to the place early. Bah.

Around 3pm, the place is ready. People started to gather around the entrance, bands getting ready to go fer a soundcheck. There's another problem fer us. I brought my bass. But the strings is all gone. I asked Faiz to buy a new set of strings but he took it easy. It was CNY and he learned it the hard way. Where can you find a shop that sell bass guitar's strings on CNY? Thankfully he asked the organiser to bring along a bass just fer me.

Later, it was our turn to go fer soundcheck. The organiser still haven't showed up. So is the bass guitar. Heck we did the soundcheck. With me just holding a microphone. Like some sort of a karaoke guy. Damn hate that. I feel empty without a bass guitar. We played 'Dimension Zero - Immaculate' cover fer the soundcheck because we won't be playing that during our show as we're told that we might just get a 5-track show. So we'll play 'The Bodybag', 'Let The World Burns' (new song, 1st time played in Gegaran Metal 2005), 'Once Stabbed', 'Death Zone' (This is one of the newest song, never been played live before) & 'Blinded By Fear' (At The Gates cover).

The gig started not long after that. I was still waiting fer my bass. And just after the 1st band played, the main organiser came. So he overslept. Damn. But because he's our buddy, it's cool. Even better, he brought a bass guitar with him. Just fer me. But it was a Fender. A Squire model. Bah. Honestly I hate Fender basses. In fact I prayed that he won't bring a Fender fer me. I hate it because I can't play it comfortably. The frets it too wide, it's heavy and maybe I'm too dumb to play a Fender correctly. Can't ask fer more though, so I was left with no other choice than to play a Fender. Pffftt!

Izan (the main organiser) handed us our passes and stamped our arms with a word 'PRIORITY'. Cool. We are told that we'll be the 6th band performing. The scene was good. There's many people in the place and outside. Not bad. I can't remember all the band's name playing before us but I do remember that the other metal band didn't came so we're the only metal band that day. After the 5th band done their things, it's already near Maghrib so the show was paused until 8pm. That means we'll be the 1st to perform after the break.

Dilemma. We're the only metal band in a *something*core gig. We'll be the 1st to perform after the break. What does it tell us? Nobody will bother to see us perform. Not that we care that much because it's not our 1st time in that sort of situation. So we told ourselves, whatever happens, just play our heart's out. Like always. So while we're waiting fer our turn, we went fer another snack session in the nearby mamak restaurant.

Then, it was our turn. There's less people inside the pub, nothing to be surprise of because we know many are still having a drink or something outside. Some may even got lazy to bother at all. We went on stage, everyone taking his positions. Checking the tune just before our show.

The stage was a bit small. Reminded me of a place in KL where we played once. Something "grill" something, the name of the place. 4 amps at the back, drums set at the corner, 2 mic in front. After we're set, I turned to the crowd and guess what? All of the sudden there's a crowd! All eyes on us. The moment we hit our 1st track, the place was rocking. People banging their heads. Hands in the air. Cheering and stuff. It was amazing. Simply superb. Totally not expected. You must see the video to feel it.

That night, we played 6 songs with a cover from The Haunted - 'Trespass' as the closing song. Sure, the stage is small, I was shaking my thighs off all the time because I can only stand in a uncomfortable stance the whole show. Any other way would mean that I'll be stepping on Angah or Udin's shoe. The Fender wasn't helping either. It's heavy, I messed a few chords because of the wide frets. The female connector of the jack had a problem, I even used my own jack and still sometime, the bass will mute in the middle of a song if the jack moved. But that all means nothing compared to the environment that night. Fer sure, we played our hearts out. And from what we see, the crowd enjoyed it.

I could tell you more. But I'm out of words right now. I didn't even tell you about the 2 Japanese bands. I can't think of any more things to write. I can still remember the show like it was a few minutes ago. Even though I can honestly say it was not my best performance, it was fer sure our best show yet. I'll try and upload the video soon. Yeah I know I've been promising that fer ages.

Latest info, the next 2 gig has been confirmed. More details on that when I got it.

----
Fractured would like to thanks Izan the main organiser, his crews, the dreadlock pub owner dude, the crowd and all the other bands that night. It was one hell of an experience fer us.

Nilai festival delayed & our track list.

The Nilai music festival which is supposed to be on 3rd of March has been delayed to a new date. The new date is 31st March 2007. So I was told. My info told me that this is a major fest with many big bands playin like Koffin Kanser, Love Me Butch (hey haven't seen this guys in person fer quite a long time since our last gig together) and many more (yeah I know I listed 2 names only but heck I don't remember what my buddy was mumbling back there). It's big dude...

Ok about the infos on the upcoming gig in Malacca. Visit Fractured's MySpace to see the details on this upcoming show and the others. Yeah the next 2 gigs is still sketchy in details but my buddy is still waiting fer the flyers.

Last night me and the guys had a practice session preparing fer the upcoming Malacca show. It's good, since the last time we jammed together was months ago. I'll write our tracklist here, a gift from me, something like a leak information or something (yeah right) fer our next gig.

Fractured's track list:
1. The Bodybag (Archgates of Insanity demo)
2. Let The World Burns (NEW SONG!! Played in Gegaran fer the 1st time.)
3. War of The Lords (Archgates of Insanity demo)
4. Death Zone (NEW SONG!! Never been played live before!!)
5. Once Stabbed (Archgates of Insanity demo)
6. Blinded By Fear (At The Gates cover)
7. Trespass (The Haunted cover)

Keep in mind that we might not be playing all the songs in the list though. Time might not permit us to do so. More or less, this is what you'll expect if you're coming to the show. I personally recommend you to hear out our 2 new songs and comment me on that. Later.

Fractured will play in 3 & secret video?

Ah. Confusing title huh? Ok Fractured will be playing in 3 upcoming gigs. Hopefully. With the 1st gig this coming 19th. Yeah I know it's Monday but it's also Chinese New Year's holiday. That gig will be in Melaka (Malacca). So tomorrow I'll be off to Seremban, after a long long while fer a practice session with the guys.

Speaking about tomorrow, my foster brother is having a wedding of his daughter. Ouch. I just remembered about that a few minutes ago. Well I guess I can go there in the afternoon and go back to Seremban with Angah in the evening. Hmm, I need to go to my foster brother's house to get my Ibanez.

Something relevant with marriage. Fahmi, our drummer is getting engage this coming 18th March. Yeah I'll never know why he's getting engage the day before his gig. Maybe it's something thrilling or whatever. I'm wishing him all the best in his love life. Hmmm. I wonder how he'll be after getting engaged. If his fiance is cool with all the jamming and gig stuff, it's ok but how if she somehow, doesn't approve? *thunder strikes..*. Now that can, uhm, sucks.

Something fer you guys. Somehow I stumbled onto a video of us performing in the last gig, Gegaran Metal 2005. This video is hosted at MetalTerus.com.my and in the MetalTerus TV section, scroll down the video list a little bit until you see "VIDEO: Fractured". After seeing the video, it amazes me how many camera are actually taking our video. Nice editing, I prefer Udin's style of video editing but heck it's ok. The sound on the other hand, is nearly hard to hear. You might need to turn your speaker's volume up and heck, the sound ain't that good either. It's ok fer a live show recording. But wait till you see the video taken from Fahmi's camcorder. Now that sound is, a big WHOA.

I'm posting the video here, fer you guys to enjoy. Hopefully you'll like it. As this is a video from outside source, I'm not sure how long they'll host the video. So watch it when you still got the time. In fact, save the file on your local hard disk if you want to. Remember to get Apple Quicktime to view this video. Ohh I missed my long hair so much...

Some info about this song. This is "The Bodybag". Used to be "Inside The Bodybag" in the demo album. As weird as it'll sound, I AM singing with a lyrics. If you want to know what's the lyrics? Here it is:

Song: The Bodybag
Music: Fahmi / Fractured
Lyrics: Karl

[verse 1]
I hunt
Instinct more than animal
You'll fall
Your blood will taint this scene

[pre-chorus]
A killing spree
I'll set you free

[chorus]
I'll watch you die
Another body's falling
Tonight

[verse 2]
No guilt
Motiveless killing frenzy
Hollow
Prepare to leave your body

[repeat pre-chorus]

[repeat chorus]

[Udin solo]

[repeat verse 1]

[repeat pre-chorus]

[repeat chorus]

Yeah I know I messed up during the 2nd verse. Kinda replaced the 'hollow' word with something else haha! Ah. Looking at this video brings the memories back. Pure fun. hey Momoe was there and I hope she'll remember this when she sees it.

If you're interested in seeing us perform again, wait till the next update on our upcoming gigs then COME AND HAVE SOME FUN!!!!! Warrrgh!! *sore throat*. Later.

p/s: Yeah I know I now type the trailing 'G' in every needed sentences. You can thanks Blogger's english grammar's correction proggy fer that..

Temp job & I'll play in the next gigs!

The outcome of long transition between projects. This is what will happen to a total project-based company. Been months since I last do any official jobs in the company. Still workin though, but without any project. Currently. The next main project still have many hiccups. Still movin but slow. Very slow. In fact it's too slow fer me likin. One day it's busy, then the other day, the project is finished and we'll be waitin fer a new one.

It was supposed to be a fast transition. In fact, the the company has prepared all the nescessary things fer the new project more than 6 months ago, while we're still on our last project. But heck, the new client got somethin, somewhere that kept the progress nearly grindin to a halt. Damn. We're totally ready on our side, but client side is makin all the slow improvement. A no-no bits here, a no-no bits there. Beaurocratic things.

Thankfully we're not without any backup plans though. Another short-term project is underway, yet still 2 to 3 weeks ahead. Some of my office mates have gone doin some other temporary works somewhere. Some who have bunch of savings from the last project do nothin. As fer me, it's time to raise money fer the upcomin gigs. Can't totally rely on the savings. Since the main project is still far ahead in the unforeseeable future, I have to make a move. Not that I'm quittin or somethin. A temp thingy. At least until the side (backup) project started.

Got the whole set of Kayser strings to dress my TR with. All the old strings has rusted in peace. With the next gig in less than 2 weeks, this calls fer desperate measure. The guys has already memorised all the new songs. I'm still lagged behind with 1 and 1/2 more songs to go. Yeah 1/2 fer havin a song partially memorised :D. We'll play one of our new song in the next gig. If you're comin, be sure not to miss the new number.

Oh yeah now I'm sure about goin to the upcomin gigs. You see, the recent post was about this things. And now that I'm VERY sure I can participate in the next gigs, hell I feel great! Even my boss approved. Hah!

I'm still waitin fer the infos on the upcomin gigs. Bah it's takin a hell of a long time fer my buddy to respond and update me on that. I'm still wonderin about the real date of the gig. The last info I heard is questionable. Ah well I'll update you on that the moment I heard a latest news whatsoever. Promise.

Now to start a temp job and raise money fer a new set of strings. Bah. Poor bands are like this I guess. Later.

Syy.. This is a secret.

Hmmm. I'm thinkin bout tellin you a secret here. Can I trust you on keepin my secret locked? Can I? I guess I can, am I right? Wrong! But heck I'm tellin anyway. Still this is some kind of secret thingy.

If I can choose, I'm given a choice, I'll tell you what I'll do. Yessir. I'll be livin free! Pack my bags, grab my bass guitar and play more music. To hell with work. I'll be tourin where people want to listen. I'll be everywhere. Me, my band, my bass and a girl who understand. A perfect life. Might not be as said but in a sense, to me it's kinda what I'll choose. Play my music till I'm old enough to just lay back and see the much prettier world. Away from this megalomaniacs, away from wars, away from the chaos we changed our world into, away from pollutions, away from the unnescessary ever-changin trends we forced ourselves to cope with.

Only if. *sigh*. But I just couldn't. I know, I'm not that strong. Can't deny that. I'm not quite sure why but I guess this, this "need" just kept pullin me back into this state of neverendin cycle of "reality". Sometime I make my life sucks, most of the time I sucks fer makin my life like this. What is there to brag about, corporate image, gadgets, nice hairdo, bein on time. I still don't know. I know I just don't freakin care. Bah! All this just to be acceptable? To be like the "others"? Like "normal" people? I know I don't need that. Still, I'm in it. I'm amongst all of us, anonymous or not. Sellin our lives to the material world. Shit this is too much, my words I mean.

Can I just run? Away from all this disfigured and/or distorted face of reality? I know I can. But do I have "it"? Enough to pull my legs and start walkin away? Heck it'll be good if I can.

Would the band approve? Would they join me in this craziness of this, this liberation of souls? I'm not sure. I'm not sure I would want to know. I'm not sure if I would ever ask. I might be alone. Like I'd care if I am.

Someday. I know it's just a matter of the right time. I'll leave all this mess we call life behind. But I'll never regret this present life. Nor would I ever fake it. I might be in it and not likin it but I'm no hipocrite. I'm still livin the reality and that small sore in my soul, cryin to break free; still won't break me. Never will I hope. Because I know someday his wish will come true.

Too much dilemma. Some people might not get it. Some others might not get it right. In any ways, maybe it was meant not to be understood because, like I've said, it's a secret. Later.

Fractured Malacca and Nilai gigs!!!!!! Achtung!

Well well. Well well well well well well well well well well. Well.. Hah! Somethin just came up. Angah called today and said that Fractured have a gig spot soon. In fact, we got 2 gigs to go! The 1st one, this comin February. 19th February to be exact. The other one is on the 6th of March. I'm not quite sure which is when but the venues are: Malacca and Nilai (Negeri Sembilan).

Wowzer. Been a long while since we last perform. At last, a very long last, we finally got a chance again. Damn. Dilemma. Such a dilemma. I'm afraid I can't be too sure if I can manage playin in any of those gigs though. Why? W.O.R.K. Easy. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be around this comin month or so. Temporary re-location.

Heck I really do want to perform. Missed that a lot. I hope I can find me some time fer both gigs. Wish me luck OK? More info on this when I can confirm it. Later!
